What drives him and has led to his success are his openness towards the world in general and his inexhaustible curiosity. Pol’s work visually reflects contemporary culture at the levels of cultural, social, and political identity and, in the Swiss case, also definitions of nationhood. The way that his images are constructed is such that societal norms and cultural codes are concurrently explored and imploded in his photography.
