Ilan Waisbrod 저자 Ilan Waisbrod(일란 와이스브로드)는 1961년생으로, 이스라엘에서 성장하여 텔아비브 대학교에서 건축과 인테리어 디자인을 공부했으며, 이탈리아 밀라노 공과대학 건축공학과에서 산업 및 인테리어 디자인의 경험을 쌓았다. 1995년 Studio GAIA를 설립하였으며, 뉴욕의 Republic, Bond St., Cafeteria 등의 레스토랑 디자인을 비롯하여 W 호텔 멕시코시티와 W 호텔 서울 등의 호텔 디자인을 성공하면서 기반을 마련했다. 와이스브로드는 Studio GAIA를 통해 호텔 부문에서 진부함을 초월하는 신선하고 혁신적인 언어를 창조해냈고, 독특하고 품위있는 접근방법으로 감각을 탐구하고 있다.
