Daniel Kangho Jeon, a violinist, started playing the violin at the age of four.
He graduated from the Korean National University of Arts in Seoul, Korea, Mannheim Musik Hochschule in Germany, Guildhall School of Music in London, England, and a DMA candidate of Michigan State University in East Lansing, USA, and has served as a violin faculty member at the Long Island Conservatory (State University of New York).
Jeon has played with such orchestras as the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra in England, North Czech Philharmonic in the Czech Republic, Eurorchester di Bari in Italy, the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra, the In-Cheon City Philharmonic Orchestra, the Dae-jeon Philharmonic orchestra, the Korea Soloist Ensemble, and the Jeon-ju Philharmonic orchestra in Korea, Mozart Kammerorchester in Germany, the Jackson Symphony Orchestra in the USA, etc., and served as guest concertmaster of Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra, In-Cheon Philharmonic Orchestra, DaeJeon Philharmonic orchestra in Korea, the Jackson Symphony Orchestra, West Shore Symphony Orchestra in the USA, etc. He is the top prizewinner of the Righetti and A. Curci International Violin Competitions in Italy.
Jeon is also an avid chamber musician, performing around the world with his Heritage Ensemble in such countries as Germany, Korea, England, the USA, and Italy. Every year he and his ensemble give regular recital and tour concerts in Korea.
Jeon has taught at the Korea National University of Art, Jeonbuk National University, and Seoul Art High School.
Now Mr. Jeon is music the Director of Heritage Ensemble Seoul Korea, the Director of Daniel Jeon String Academy, a Visiting Professor at the International Academy of Music in Italy, the Burgos Internatinal Music Festival in Spain, the ELAN International String Music Festival in China and Mr. Jeon is the Director of the Guanzhou Mozart Players in China.
