John (Sang-Yup) has participated in over 20 Model UN conferences for the past 4 years and was deeply involved in Korea's high school Model UN society. Starting as a press member, he attended various conferences as a staff, delegate, student officer, and a secretariat. As a delegate, among the many conferences he had participated in, he notably attended the 2014 Global Classrooms International Model UN conference held in New York as a member of Korea's representative team. He also worked as an Assistant Chair in Harvard World MUN: Seoul and organized several urban and rural conferences in Korea as a secretariat. He also worked in different Model UN organizations in Korea. In 2013 he co-founded a non-profit company called GTRO to sponsor new found Model UN conferences and worked as a vice president in Korea's largest online Model UN forum with over 1,400 members.
