에센스 영문법(개정판)(CD1장포함)

이 책은 영어를 공부하는 한국 학생들 입장에서 꼭 익혀야 할 문법의 진수(essence)를 가려서 '이것만은 확실하게 알고 가자' 하는 것을 제시하는데 중점을 두었다. 초판에 없던 Warm-up, Reading, Word challenge, Reveiw test 부분 등을 새로 넣었고, 예문들을 좀 더 보강하였다. 딱딱하기 쉬운 영문법의 특성을 고려하여, 재미있는 이야기, 실용적인 예문, 다양한 task들을 많이 포함시키고자 힘썼다. 부록인 mp3 CD에는 이 책에 나오는 모든 문장이 원어민의 음성 파일 형태로 들어 있다. Listening과 발음 연습을 위한 자료로 활용되길 기대한다.

전체 13개로 된 chapter들은 각각 Warm-up, Grammar, Reading, Word challenge, Practice, Review test, Supplementary reading 등으로 구성되어 있다. Warm-up에서는 미드보다 더 흥미진진한 Brett, Aaron & Camille의 이야기를 통하여 다양한 표현과 문법을 익힐 수 있도록 꾸몄다. Grammar 부분에서는 핵심적인 문법 사항을 Focus 1, 2 & 3으로 나누어 공부하게 된다. Reading에서는 재미있는 주제의 글을 읽으면서 독해, 어휘, 문법을 동시에 익히게 된다. Word challenge에서는 우리가 흔히 접하면서도 쉽게 혼동하는 단어들의 정확한 쓰임을 배우게 된다. Practice에서는 각 주차에서 나온 문법사항들을 문제를 통해 총 정리하게 된다. 각 과의 마지막에는 Review test를 넣었다. 내용을 더 공부하고 싶은 학생들을 위해서 Supplementary reading을 소개하였으며 영어권 문화를 엿볼 수 있는 Culture corner를 각 과마다 수록하였다.
