대학교에서 수학교육을 전공하여 탄탄한 수학이론과 전문적인 수학 교수법을 익혔고 이후 미국 버지니아 공립학교 및 한국 국제학교 교사로서 일하였다.
현재는 서울 강남 압구정 SAT, AP 유학전문학원에서 미국 명문 보딩스쿨 학생들과 국내 외국인 학교 및 국제학교 학생들을 가르치면서 수학교재 집필에 힘쓰고 있다.
한국어와 영어에 능통하고 동시에 한국 수학 및 국제학교 수학 과정 모두에 정통한 수준 높은 수학 강의로 정평이 나 있으며, AP Calculus와 SAT 만점자들의 강사이자 만점이 보장되는 선생님으로서 유명하다.
