SEONGLIM JIN SEONGLIM JIN was born in Dongseon-dong, Seongbuk-gu. He graduated with honors from Inje University College of Medicine. After completing his residency in internal medicine at Baek Hospital, affiliated with Inje University, he became a pulmonology specialist. In 2001, he opened the "SEONGLIM JIN Clinic" in Anam-dong, Seongbuk-gu and has served as the director of the "Beautiful Breath Clinic" since 2006.
He is currently an outpatient professor of medicine at Korea University College of Medicine and is an active pulmonologist on South Korea's first medical YouTube channel "@aftertherainkr" with 1.7 million subscribers. He has been awarded the Commissioner of Internal Revenue's Commendation and the Secretary of Health and Human Services' Commendation for his exemplary dedication to reducing the incidence of tuberculosis in Korea by revolutionizing the diagnosis and treatment of pulmonary tuberculosis.
He is in the Naver Knowledge IN Hall of Fame for his contributions to respiratory counseling and has been selected as the best counselor by Hidoc Medical Consultation. He has been awarded level 1 for excellence in the diagnosis and treatment of bronchial asthma and appropriateness of treatment for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) by Health Insurance Review and Assessment (HIRA) for 10 consecutive years.
For the past 20 years, he has worked as a renowned lecturer, training doctors in the diagnosis and treatment of respiratory diseases. He has been interviewed about respiratory diseases on three major broadcasting networks (KBS, SBS, and MBC) and a current affairs program on a private broadcasting network. He has also practiced social responsibility as a doctor through interviews with various media outlets.
During the national health crisis of the COVID-19 pandemic, he was appointed as a member of the Panel of Primary Care Organizations by the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency and the Korean Academy of Medical Science to ensure the safety of the public and healthcare providers. He is deeply concerned about the collapse of essential healthcare and dedicated to the care of respiratory patients nationwide who experience deep concerns and pain. He leads an intense life as a "bronchoscopy" specialist working to diagnose and treat intractable respiratory diseases such as lung cancer, pulmonary fibrosis, bronchial asthma, COPD, and bronchiectasis.
