The Write Way

- 이 책은 성균관대학교 인문사회캠퍼스 신입생을 주요 대상으로 한 영어쓰기 기초 교재이다. 기본적으로 강의용으로 구성했지만, 독학을 하는 학습자에게도 충분히 체계적 학습이 가능하도록 구성했다.

- 이 책은 인문학, 사회과학 및 경영학 등의 전공 분야 영어 글쓰기에 대한 기초를 제시하고 있다. 미리 쓰기(pre-writing)로 시작하여 문장, 단락, 에세이와 보고서 쓰기까지 체계적으로 작문 능력을 키울 수 있도록 구성했다.

- 이 책은 정의, 분류, 원인과 결과, 설득하기 등 여러 가시 다양한 글쓰기 양식을 다룬다. 또 세 번째 섹션(Building Blocks)에서는 일반적인 영어 교재에서 거의 다루지 않는 훌륭한 요점과 작문 기술을 소개한다.

- 마지막 섹션(Research Skills)에서는 학생들이 연구 기술을 개발하여 참고도서와 논문 등 온라인에서 인용하는 자료의 출처와 정보를 효과적으로 통합하여 사용할 수 있도록 돕고자 했다.

- 이 책은 모든 수준의 여러 학생들을 위한 포괄적인 과업 기반 과정(task-based course)의 기본 글쓰기를 위한 것이다. 학습자의 작문 접근 방식에 유연하게 대처할 수 있도록 구성했다.



ㆍ The Write Way presents a process-based approach to academic English writing for humanities, social sciences, and business majors. This book helps students develop their writing ability by starting with pre-writing and progressing through sentences, paragraphs, essays, and reports.

ㆍ The Write Way covers several styles of writing, including definition, classification, cause and effect, and persuasive. In addition, the Building Blocks section introduces students to the finer points and techniques of writing that are normally not covered in English coursebooks.

ㆍ The final section focuses on helping students develop their research skills so that they can effectively incorporate and cite information from print and online sources.

ㆍ The Write Way is intended to form the main text for a comprehensive task-based course for students of all levels. It is structured to facilitate flexibility in learners' approach to writing.
