우주가 팽창한다는 것은 어떤 의미인가?
신神이 우주를 창조한 것이 아니라면,
우주의 물리법칙은 하나(the one)다
시간과 공간은 별개의 개념이 아니다.
시공간이라는 하나의 개념이다.
시간과 공간은 대칭성을 가진다.
시간은 공간이고 공간은 시간이다.
시간과 공간을 맞바꾸어도 물리법칙은 변하지 않아야 한다.
인간은 눈에 보이고 감각되는 공간을 중심으로 생각하도록 진화되어 온 생명체다. 천동설에서 지동설로의 패러다임 변환 과정에서 겪었던, 생각의 중심에 있던 지구를 빼내고, 그 자리에 태양을 집어넣는 일이 결코 쉬운 일은 아니었겠지만, 생각의 중심에 있는 공간을 빼내고, 그 자리에 시간을 집어넣는 일에 비하면 쉬운 일이다.
