IT IS LATE, and there is not much light left to write by, nor I suppose, time left for me to write. Time has turned the world around, again and again, and suddenly I find myself an old man. It has long been the duty of old men to pass on old stories so the young may make them new again. Since this story was given to me, I pass it on to you.
