한국종교의 진단과 전망(한국종교 연구 시리즈 1)
유교, 원불교, 기독교를 중심으로
한국 종교에 대한 진단과 전망은 쉬운 것은 아니다. 수천년 역사 속에서 한국 종교는 한국인의 정신사에 커다란 영향을 미쳐왔다. 하지만 21세기 4차 혁명의 시대에 한국 종교는 시대에 발맞추지 못하고 도리어 역행하는 느낌도 드는 현실이다. 그럼에도 불구하고 한국에 전래된 종교 혹은 토착 종교가 현대인의 생활과 사고에 긍정적인 기여를 전혀 할 수 없는 것도 아니다. 한국의 현 종교들이 그 부정적 기능에서 벗어나 새로운 순 기능으로서의 종교 역할을 기대하면서 소장 학자들이 유교와 원불교 그리고 기독교의 새로운 이해를 시도하는 글을 내어 놓았다. 뿐만 아니라 〈코리안아쉬람 TV〉에서 종교 간의 대화와 협력을 위한 토크쇼를 통하여 “한국 종교 이대로 좋은가?”하는 제목의 방송 대담을 하여 그 내용도 본서에 감았다. 향후 한국 종교 연구 시리즈가 〈열린 서원〉에서 간행되는 연속 작품들을 통해 종교의 제 기능을 희망하는 독자들에게 사랑을 받게 되기를 희망한다.

저자
원에서 인도철학과에서 각각 석사과정을 마친 후 서강대학교에서
종교학박사 학위를 받았다. 중국 길림사범대학교에서 중문학 석사
와 길림대학에서 중국철학으로 박사학위를 받았고, 길림사범대학
교수와 동 대학의 동아시아연구소 소장을 역임했다. 서울신학대학
에 초빙교수로 부임 후 현재는 〈동양사상의 이해〉 등을 강의하고
있으며, 〈코리안아쉬람 대표〉로서, 〈코리안아쉬람TV〉(유투브)를
통해 '동양철학'을 강의하고 있다
