탄-투안 트란 박사는 국립군산대학교 풍력 지지구조시스템 에너지혁신연구센터의 선임 연구원으로, 한국에 오기 전 베트남 Quy Nhon University에서 12년간 강사로 재직한 경험을 가지고 있다. 베트남 호치민시 공과대학교에서 토목공학 학사 및 석사 학위를, 그리고 한국의 국립군산대학교에서 토목(내진)공학 박사 학위를 취득하였다. 그의 주요 연구 분야는 해상풍력 터빈을 지지하는 각종 구조시스템을 대상으로 한 유한요소해석 및 구조최적화 설계이다.
