이향영 경북 청도군 출생, 미국에서 43년을 살았으며 현재는 부산에서 거주. 2025년 《수필과비평》수필 등단. 2018년 《문학과의식》시, 2009년 《창조문학》소설 등단. 2009년 미주한국일보 문예공모전논픽션부문 당선. 2009년 소설 「밀가의 아리아」(상, 하)로 크리스천문학상 수상, 신동아 논픽션 제45회 우수상 수상. 2015년 시집 「미안하다 더 사랑해요」로 미주 가사문학상수상. 2006년부터 자전소설 「The Rich Boy」가 LACC에서 교재로 선정. 화시집 「흐르고 흔들리는 기쁨」, 중편소설 「별에서 온 소년」과 장편소설 「별, 함께 빛나다」. 시조집 「만만세 아다지오」와 시집 「행복 에스프리」, 수필집 「아픔이 향기가 되어」「모두가 나비다」외 다수. 현재, 경남정보대학교 디지털문창과 재학 중.

Author's Biography
The author was born in Cheongdo-gun, North Gyeongsang Province. She lived in the United States for 43 years and currently resides in Busan. The author made her literary debut in 2025 with an essay in 《Essay and Criticism》. She achieved her debut as a poet in 《Literature and Consciousness》in 2018. The poet then made her debut as a novelist in 《Creation Literature》in 2009. She won the non-fiction category award of the literary contest hosted by Hanguk Daily USA in 2009. She also won the Christian literary Award in 2009 by her novel 「Milga's Aria」(I, II), and in the same year the author achieved the 45th Excellence Award in the non-fiction category hosted by Shindonga. The author's writing talent was further recognized when she won the US Gasa Literary Award in 2015 by her Poetry Collection 「Sorry I love you more」. The author's autobiographical novel, 「The Rich Boy」, has been selected as a textbook at LACC since 2006. Other literary works by the author include the following: a painting poetry anthology 「Flowing and Waving Joy』, a novella 「A Boy from a Star」, a full-length novel 「Star, Shines together」. Shijo(a three verse Korean ode) 「May You Live Long Adagio」 and a poetry collection 「Happiness Esprit」, and essay collections, 「Pain Becoming Fragrance」 and 「All Are Butterflies」 among many others. The author currently attends as a student the Department of Digital Creative Writing at Gyeongnam Information University.
