한혜민 외국인 한국어교육 자원봉사단체 '한글공부방'을 이끌면서 외국인에게 한국어를 가르쳤고, 조금 더 효과적인 교수법을 연구하고자 한국어 교육자의 길로 들어섰다. 한국외국어대학교에서 '외국인을 위한 한국어 교육' 전공으로 석사 및 박사 학위를 취득했다.
한국외국어대학교 한국어문화교육원, 법무부 사회통합프로그램에서 다양한 국적의 외국인에게 한국어를 가르쳤고, 2012년부터 2021년까지 홍콩이공대학교에서 전임강사로 한국어와 한국 문화를 가르쳤다. 2022년 한국에 돌아와 한국외국어대학교 KFL대학원에서 한국어 교사가 갖춰야 할 역량과 비전에 대한 강의를 하고 있다.

Dr. Han led the Korean teachers' volunteer organization "Hangeul Kongbubang" and decided to study Korean further to develop more effective teaching methods as a professional Korean language educator. She obtained her M.A. and Ph.D. in Teaching Korean as a Foreign Language at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies. Dr. Han has taught foreigners at the Center for Korean Language and Culture in Hankuk University of Foreign Studies and KIIP (Korean Immigration and Integration Programme) at the Ministry of Justice in Korea. Dr. Han has also taught Korean at Hong Kong Polytechnic University as a teaching fellow from 2012 to 2021. She currently instructs pre-Korean teachers to develop their capacities and vision as Korean teachers at KFL in Hankuk University of Foreign Studies.
